In 2017, Dr Ahmad co-founded VRapeutic, a research-based startup specializing in the development of virtual reality software for learning disabilities and developmental disorders which won the 1st place in the Singularity University’s Global Impact Challenge in 2019, among other recognitions.

In 2016, he received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa in Canada.
